Description
Invicorp is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It contains two active substances: aviptadil and phentolamine, which work together to improve blood flow into the penis and reduce blood outflow. This dual action allows for a firm erection suitable for sexual activity.
Aviptadil is a synthetic version of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), which helps to relax smooth muscle and reduce blood outflow from the penis. Phentolamine is an alpha-blocker that increases blood flow into the penile tissue by dilating blood vessels. Together, they help achieve and maintain an erection by restoring the natural balance of blood flow in and out of the penis.
Invicorp is used in men with erectile dysfunction, especially in those for whom other treatments, such as oral medications, are not effective or not recommended. It is injected directly into the corpora cavernosa (the soft tissue on each side of the penis shaft). The effects usually begin shortly after injection and typically last no more than one hour.
